The build-up is the same every time: treated battens over a breathable membrane, fresh lead worked in where the roof meets a chimney or a wall, and new ridge and hip tiles run along every line. That is the part you never see, and the part that keeps the weather out.
A full strip and re-tile takes a single day on most Southampton homes. Your house is not left open overnight.
