The work
New Roofs and Roof Repairs
Whether a storm has lifted a few tiles or the whole roof is past saving, we handle it. We repair leaks, slipped and broken tiles, ridge and verge problems, and worn flashings, and we fit complete new roofs of all types.
Every visit starts with an honest look at what the roof actually needs. If a repair will do the job properly, that is what we will tell you. If the roof is at the end of its life, we will say so and explain why. When a reroof is the right answer, we work fast: the team can strip and re-tile a full roof in a single day, so your home is never left open to the weather overnight.
Every job, large or small, carries the same 10-year guarantee. If anything is not right, we come back and put it right at no charge.

The firm
A Family Trade, Passed Down
Test Valley Home Improvements is a family firm in the fullest sense: the trade has been passed down through three generations, and the current team draws on more than 46 years of experience in the generation before it. Today the firm runs as a six-strong team under Test Valley Home Improvements Limited, applying the same standard of workmanship that built its name.
The patch
Where We Work
We are based in Southampton and cover homes within roughly 20 to 25 miles. That takes in Eastleigh and Winchester to the north, New Milton to the south-west, and villages throughout the New Forest. Wherever you are in that patch, the same team turns up and the same-day quote still applies. If you are nearby but not sure you are in range, ask – the answer is usually yes.

Asked often
Common Questions
- What does the 10-year guarantee cover?
Every roof we fit and every repair we make. If a problem comes back, so do we, and there is no charge for putting it right.
- How does quoting work?
We visit, look at the roof properly, and give you the price there and then. The quote is same-day and there is no obligation.
- What work do you take on?
New roofs and roof repairs of all kinds, for houses rather than commercial buildings. If you are not sure whether we cover your job, the quickest way to find out is to call.
